I am committed to compassionate advocacy for my clients, using the law as a tool to help individuals and businesses solve problems and plan for the future.  In recent years, I have shifted the focus of my practice from litigator to facilitator, using modern methods of dispute resolution, such as mediation and Collaborative Family Law, to help clients resolve conflicts peacefully and respectfully without resort to the courts.  I also represent children, and serve as a guardian ad litem for incapacitated clients, when appointed by the courts.

I began my legal career representing migrant farm workers in Upstate New York and the Finger Lakes region.  After several years as Clinical Attorney and Lecturer at Cornell Law School, I entered private law practice, first as a sole practitioner, then as a partner in the firm of Wiggins & Masson, and again as a sole practitioner.  I have represented thousands of clients in state and federal courts in trials and appeals and in negotiations.
